Depending on the strength of the light source... it will change the highlights on that side of her (with blue all the way to white maybe in some areas). Maybe you should consider doing some studies from back in the forums about light if you are having alot of problems with dealing with light. It will help out some.
Here is something that you can try though... Buy a glowstick (small or large) from walmart or something... stand in front of a mirror posing like your character, break it (to turn it on but dont kill it lol) and hold it in your hand. What do you see? See where the light makes some highlights on your skin? Only problem is if ure in a bathroom your going to have light bouncing off of walls and the mirror creating some highlights in other areas that necessarily wouldn't probably be there if it were an open environment.
I don't know if I helped or just made it more confusing lol.
As for some suggestions on a background... if she/itshe is going to be knee deep in water, think of settings where water would be, marsh/swampland, lake, sea/ocean, a bathtub, a bathroom where the toilet got plugged up etc... j/k
The figure looks nice... oh when doing lighting don't forget about the core shadow and the shadow cast by itself onto itself.
And that's about all I can say right now
