First, let me say in all honesty some of the work I've seen here is really amazing, some of the best I've seen on the web (and doing web design I see alot of it).
Warning: I tend to ramble
Point: I can't draw fantasy art worth a dime. I need help.
Now for the reason I'm here..
I'm in the midst of building several websites, one of which is for a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon, some of you have probably played these) that's been in existance since 1991. A few of us have decided to put together a site for it as somewhat of a history/current happenings type deal.
So I went about doing a fairly basic layout, to get the ball rolling. I patched some stuff together from 3 different pictures, but it's a square header and I really tire of square headers. I soon decided I wasn't happy with it's flexibility or look, so I stopped midway through it. That's where I ran into a problem. I'm no artist, not by a long shot. I can't draw anything with curves past a 6th grade level. I use MSPaint for most of my "artwork". See figure 1 or figure 2.
If any of you enjoy having your artwork appreciated, and would like to see it used on a website like the one I'm building, please let me know via PM or reply, or instant messanger (listed in my profile). I can do decent layouts, what I had in mind was something like this, only alot less sucky. By the way, nothing on that site is meant to be taken seriously. If you do odds are something on it will offend you.
Compensation for any used artwork would be in the form of name credit (obviously) and links to your website if you have one.
If you read this far, thanks! |
