My father has got a Mac, and a Wacom for it. Now he's got a new one, and is giving me his old. The only question is; will I be able to use it on my PC? I really want to use it since it's very good, and it's huge, and it costs a lot in the stores. I have heard that I can buy some cables and then it will work, is that true? |

Your Mac probably has a funny non-standard port type. PC devices (including the Wacom) are typically limited to serial or USB type ports only. Perhaps there are adapters to convert mac ports to standard type ports. There are drivers for both systems available for download from the Wacom website, so drivers should be a nonissue for you. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |

What kind of Wacom is it? If it's an Intuos2, it will definitely work on your PC as long as you have a USB port. With the Intuos2 series, the rule is this: if it will work on your PC, it might work on your MAC, but if it will work on your MAC, it will definitely work on your PC. The Intuos2 is made two ways; one with USB, and one with serial. The PC has both, the MAC only has USB. That's why the serial is for Windows only.
If it's an older model, you may have a problem. Just find out what kind of connection it uses. |

Hey Iddi... try this: I once had the exact opposite problem when I had to get an old Intuos serial working on a Mac. I got a converter from these guys and it worked. Perhaps they have something to fix your situation: Keyspan _________________ -blind |

I use a Mac and I have a few old digital tablets. They all connect to the ADB port. There is nothing (as far as I know) that will convert these tablets to be PC-compatable.
However, it very well may be an older USB Wacom. _________________ Madness takes its toll - please have exact change. |
