Great stuff, I really enjoy the second pic.
Were these for a project or just personal stuff? Did you use any refs? _________________ www.jasonink.net/journal |

Great work Death Dealler! I really like the way you painted the city. One thing I would critique is that you could add a little more color variations into the city as it looks just a littlr bit monochromatic. Other then that, its supa cool! _________________ I want to breed! |

VERY nice work. I especially love the background in the first one. And the detail in the second one is impressive. I love them both. Are you the same Death Dealer that used to post here awhile back? |

Hey
I like the first one too.
Am I the only that feels like the depth in the second picture feels a bit funky, for me it looks like the city rock is in front of the hole and not above the hole. Maybe you could add more yellow light or something on the bottom of the city rock, well, it could be that the city is much more brighter than the ground on the planet too.
Still very good work thou.
Keep it up. :)

Death Dealler
This first picture is very good. It forms a conception of the power of energy that cant scientiffically be proved. Interesting!
For me it speaks a language of its own and I dont need to know what you had in mind when you made it.
The second one leaves a great deal do desire, as far as I am concerned. I always find it easy to "jump into" artwork that I really like - that is what happens directly when I see the first picture - I am in! As an artist I should always express myself honestly, I think - never paint for the observer. But at the same time it is important to take responsibility for the way I lead the observer into the world of my imagination - and for the possibility to be able to find a way out... Its easy to say but not always so easy to attain! It earns a thought though...
In the lower picture it seams impossible to get in anywhere! In the foreground it seems as if burning lava has emited out from the huge whole in the ground and the landscape seams as if all forms of life has eradicated. Ewen in the city that as a miracle has been saved. So what is there to discower by stepping into that world of yours?
On further concideration that was perhaps the feeling you wanted to express - if so you have succeeded!
Anyway I am impressed by your skill and I would love to know how you make it possible! _________________ Art has no key - it can always be improved. Therefor your work can never be finished. Take it as a challenge! |
