Good Morning(It's not very likely that it will be morning when/where you read this. It could be night, evening or worse, noon)
If you look to the left of this text you'll see that this is my first post unless I've made any new posts before you got a chance of reading it, in that case read this instead: THIS IS MY FIRST POST IN THIS FORUM
enough useless information, here's the image you hopfully came for:

(The sky is supposed to look like it's lit by a burning city, village or something, caused by bombs)

Great concept. Ominous. Couple of things- try painting from back to front. This is especially simple with digital art with layers... So, paint the whole sky before/under the woods, then the foreground on top of that.
Paint all the way beyond the edge of your canvas. Use the whole damn thing. Some think of it as cropping, but I just make a box inside my window and then paint beyond the lines.
Also, I feel like the light from the fire would be reflected off some of the other objects in your composition.
Good stuff

Really cool pic my only crit is to try working on a point of focus or interest. Where do you want to draw the viewers attention? At the moment everything is rendered to the same level. Maybe if you want the church to be the focal point, render it to a sharper, more detailed level. Anyway, nice pic, I really like the mood and composition. |
