Need some help on this, anyone got any crits or suggestions etc?
supposed to be an underwater setting, also, has anyone got any ideas about the green light? i think it looks a bit crap atm. i was thinking of the source to be coming from an opening clam or something. Smile

Hey Az. Looks like you have a good start there. Apart from all the minor details, the things i would change is: make the eyes more open to give more expression(and to add to the expression of the mouth); make the background darker to add contrast so that the foreground and background dont appear so that they are on the same plane and become very 2d looking.

Question: what is your other light source giving the light on the being's body? Is the only light source the clam? If so, you need to darken all other areas than directly where the light is shining and blend outwards a little. If you want to leave the background the same brightness, then atleast make it hard to focus on(ie. blurr it, just a basic suggestion, i know there are better ways). Keep working at it I reckon cause it should end up looking even better.

nice stuff.
i really liked the darkness in the first sketch.
the second sketch became a little less dark. i think you are lighting it up too much.
the third image looks good, but not as good as the second one.
i think you should discard the third image and continue from the second one. it has MUCH more expression-- the eyeballs that look downwards and looked shocked, almost popping out of the sockets, the wide-open mouth.
i think you should also go for roughness. the more sharp it is, the less it looks like the person is in movement, falling.
i like how terrified the person looks in the second sketch.
all in all, its very good. i'd like to see less light and more shock.
cheers!
