Hey,
I'm about to go out to celebrate with my wife and a plethora of good friends. I was just wondering, what is it that is your drink of choice on a night out?
Obviously there's the usual BEER, but I mean, above that. What's your favourite mixed drink?
I'm into Ginger Beer and Rye right now, but I guess my absolute favourite is the very-out-of-style Rum and Coke. |

I hope it isn't too late.
Beer, but treat yourself well - Harpoon IPA, Sweetwater IPA, Grolsch Amber, Bass Ale, Watney's Red Barrel. Go for the good stuff.
Now...if you want to try something different, get a small glass (or shot glass) of Patron Anejo. Don't shoot it though! Sip it gently with a slice of lime on the side. Be advised - it's strong stuff, so don't go overbboard!
DRINK RESPONSIVELY!

Here's Joe's recipe for a destructive night.
2 or 3 beers
1 glass of bourbon on the rocks. Whiskey is good too.
1 Beer
1 round of Jgermeister shots
Repeat ad infinitum.
Be merry and reproduce! _________________ . |

If I wanna get drunk I'll just go for the vodka or bourbon and coke. But when it's just a sociable night out, I'll have one or two beers.
Liquor always gets me drunk faster. I end up bloated before drunk whenever I drink beer.
As for mixes, vodka mixed with anything is good. I usually get it with orange juice, or pineapple, or cranberry or creaming soda. They all taste great and go down fast. _________________ www.jasonink.net/journal |

I like to drink wiskey ballantines with coke.
Tastes good, lasts long... is perfect to me. _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

The special French 19th century artist drink: absinth
Includes some kind of toxin. Illegal in every country but Spain and uh..some other country. Haven't tried it. Its what the guy in From Hell drinks.
Besides that, Bailys is my favorite. |

Absinthe is perfectly legal in most of Europe...they have it down at the local liquor store here.... I think they have a better kind in Spain, though, a different brand-name, better tasting. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

I think one type of absinth is illegal here in Australia. The type that is available here is really hard to find except for at a few bottle shops along oxford street. And that's the 60% alcohol one. Apparently there's an 80% version. It's supposed to have or been made from wormwood aswell (a bit hazy on my facts) so it has slight hallucinogenic effects. My friend had it the other week though and said it wasn't really like weed, just really strong alcohol. Despite this he went pretty crazy that night
Everyone loves to talk about it, but another guy I know had it and it really wasn't as amazing as it was hyped up to be. So who knows? _________________ www.jasonink.net/journal |

Yeah it is the Wormwood which makes absinth hallucinogenic. I have a friend who is got back from England earlier who said most absinth you get over there doesn't have the wormwood in it... He can talk a lot of shit so I'm not really sure if it's the truth, but whatever.
I'd really like to try 'real' absinth some day, then try some painting - classical druggie artist stylez. |

Heh, I was asking for fun and amusing mixed alcohol combinations. If you're gonna reply with "apple juice" or "vanilla Coke", why reply? I'm sure you must feel incredibly proud that you've chosen to abstain from alcohol, but it ain't something to brag about.
To the rest, thanks for the suggestions / contributing. I was just curious as to what you boys are drinkin'. Good taste, I must say.
Hamster dude, if absinthe tastes so much like ass, why do you have a bottle on your shelf? Heh.
Fuzzy Navels are also tasty, although somewhat feminine I suppose. Still though, tastes just like peachy orange juice.. that gives you the happys! |

Intuos, my patented drink, THE RED DEATH.
First, one shot of vodka over ice.
Next, equal parts cranberry juice and cheap red wine.
Mix to taste.
Drink a few and you'll learn why I call it The Red Death. _________________ . |

The Bird of Prey
12 ounce glass with crushed ice; add 1 shot of Jagermeister, fill the rest with Coca Cola, twist of lemon, stir, serve
Tastes like a root beer.
Why "Bird of Prey"? After about the 4th one the buzz uncloaks out of nowhere and knocks you upside the head. _________________ - Tom Carter

How about white rum and vanilla coke? People say it's not as good as it sounds (if you like vanilla coke), but I quite enjoy it. Vanilla coke is like liquid candy _________________ Under communism, man exploits man. Under capitalism, it's just the opposite.
