Ok, it's time for me to go public with my short film.

Here's the promo illustration for it. It's painted in Painter 7 and Photoshop 7.

The offcial website will be coming soon.

I began pre-production in July 2002, and last month, a few volunteers joined production.

The story was written back in 1998 as an one-shot comic book(I quit the comic book industry that year and defected to the game industry). In 2001, I rewrote it as a short story. In 2002, I decided to make it into a 3D animated short film.

Estimated production time will be 3 years or more. I've been working on this film fulltime since July 2002, and it will remain a fulltime project for the entire duration of the production if I can help it.

You know my feelings.. I cant wait to see it. Very Happy

love the hands BTW, beautifully rendered. only thing that bothers me is that the background seems a little prominent, taking away from the figure and the wings. which are beautifully rendered too.

3 years? OMG, don't make me wait that long to see a trailer. Heh heh, or I'll "Promise" to poke you with pointy sticks. Planning to cut it to DVD or enter it in film festivals?

Hey, thanks for the kudos you guys! Very Happy

Awetopsy-- ya, I kinda feel that way too. This piece is really a placeholder for the 3D version, so I'll try to correct that when I make the 3D piece.

Pat-- yep, that's the plan. Film festivals first, then if it gets nominated or wins, book/DVD will be made. If the project ever ends up making money, I'll make sure the crew gets a piece of that. At heart, it's a personal, non-commercial project though. A labor of love, if you will. I've had it to *here* with doing stuff for other people. Let's hope I never have to freelance or be a cog in the machine ever again.
