I need one desperately. I figure it's cheaper to draw and show my work here and get feedback than to take art classes...
Which ones are good for a small price?
Here
or Here
or here?
Those are probably the ones I can get. (If they have more in FutureShop then I'll see)
I don't know a lot about scanners, so if someone wants to explain all that DPI stuff, go ahead.
Thanks _________________ The Syn |

Epson Perfection 1260 Photo
Epson Perfection 1660 Photo: True 1600 x 3200dpi resolution and 48-bit in and out colour (for recognition of more than 281 trillion colours and over 65,500 shades of grey) ensure sharp, clear scans with the highest colour depth available in the consumer market. The EPSON Perfection 1660 PHOTO is also amazingly fast, with a new USB 2.0 interface that is up to 40 times faster than USB 1.1.
^^^ any of these 2 will do nicely
ok
DPI (dots per inch)/PPI (pixels per inch) <<< same thing
for print - 300 DPI is taken as the standard to which colour is printed - 1200-2400 DPI is what line art is printed (anything with a solid line - including type)
if a scanner says it does 9600 x 9600 DPI interpulated - this means that it scans @ its top res and then the software then increases the res.. pretty much like making a picture in photoshop say @ A5 300 DPI and increasing it to A3
the Epson has a True scanning res of 1600 x 3200dpi. this will suit any needs you might have from now to whenever, basically if u need it blown up anymore then i'd goto a Bureau and get it drum scanned.
A4 page scanned @ 1200 DPI = 708Mb or if resized to 300DPI will give you an image way bigger than A0 |
