His name was Hermie ... he was one of the nicest people you would ever meet ... he was funny, kind and always helpful ... he was patient, hard-working and had a bright future ....

Hermie was an artist ... he would have been one of the greats. He never stoped practicing drawing.
We used to draw together, we used to exchange ideas, we even used to draw on each other sketches to mix our styles, and those always came out excellent ... there was still so much to learn from him.

I blame myself for not getting to know him more ... i always stray away from my friends thinking they'll always be there ... sometimes i wont call for months ... i take them for granted ... and now Hermie, has gone and left.
... is it human nature to realise what you've got only when its gone ? Hermie was a guy who you could talk to about anything .. i dont know what else to say ...
memories of the times i used to spend with him, making stupid nonsensical jokes and drawing irrelevant stuff just keep sweeping through my mind.

This is a 2 min sketch by hermie .. he sketched this in one of my drawing books.
Hermie, you were one of the best artists compared to those of your age when you were here with us .... You were the master of details, you had the eyes of the grand masters, and you would have been one of the best ...
my heart is heavy .... i cant stop smoking ..... you were so young .. why of all people.... you had talent...

You will always be remembered .... and in times to come, when people look at the works youve drawn in my books, i will tell them about you, how dedicated you were to your art and above all, what a great guy you were ... i will tell them your story so that you might live again in our memories.

You will be missed

My sympathies; I have lost three friends in the last 18 months.

I'm sorry to hear that man, very sad story, but i've learned something from it. I hope this is a lesson for all of us to not take friends for granted.

I can sympathize. A friend of mine passed away last August. I felt bad about drifting away from her over time, and I'd take it back if I could. The important thing to remember is that you shouldn't feel guilty about not being closer, only promise yourself that you will do differently with the friends you have now. As they say, you have to play the hand you're dealt.
