Streaming video is digital art, right? Suma?

Well we Moser Brothers have a short film that's just hit IFilm after being on the festival circuit. We shot the movie last year on 35mm. It's a sweet story, but we think you might like it. The running time is about 16 minutes.

http://www.ifilm.com/ifilm/product/film_info/0,3699,2439320,00.html

Please let us know what you think. Thanks in advance for taking the time.

Thanks Frost! I've been an admirer of your work for some time, so it's nice to get a good response.

It seems the other Sijuners are too elitist or cowardly to partake of a short film. But, hey, you know, like, that's cool. I mean, whatever

Heh heh. Hey all you non-watchers, here's a link. I'm not sure if IFilm frowns upon this, but you can copy the following address into Real Player, instead of having to go to IFilm's bulky site:

The Fountain

I think the reason you haven't heard much back on it is because there aren't any chainsaws, unbelieveably large guns or breasts in it.

However it was a cute story and well executed. Nicely done!

This is cool.

I remember seeing this on ifilm a few weeks ago and being impressed by it... I had no idea it was done by a fellow sijuner. Really well crafted film with a nice story. Was this done as part of a film program or just on your own? I'm currently working on a 16mm short, and know how difficult it can be to get these things together. It's nice to see another filmmaker on these boards, and I hope this leads to some great things for you!

Flexible Elf, thanks! Yeah, old people. A real attention getter. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

ChiaNi, that's what our grandfather said! Thanks for checking it out.

Firewalker, thanks. Yep, I wish there were more filmmakers on this board. With Atomfilms and IFilm, there's a huge new audience for shorts.

This movie was just a calling card. Luckily, we have great representation, and they told us to make a short film (on film) if we wanted to direct. It has won some festivals and opened up some doors for us. Right now we're writing for a TV show and also some features.

Recently we signed on to write and direct a feature film. That's the dream. I'd love to check out your script/film/whatever as you progress. Man, good luck with that.

that was one of the most charming little flicks I think I've ever seen... beautiful story... the whole ambiance of the film was just spot on... Good job, very good job indeed!

ps. Perhaps you would've gotten more replies if you in the last scene would have had them by the fountain in the year 2300 with big robots and nekkid chicks with guns running around on the streets ;P

ChiaNi, a thousand apologies

beat, thanks. I really like your paintings. Pretty darned sweet.

Nanimo, thank-you. Your reply gives me shivers (the good kind). No, we're not making money on this movie. There's simply no paying market for short films

strata. Wow, what a response. Thanks for that. Big robots and nekkid chicks? Well, two words -- the sequel
-----------------------------------------
BTW, if anyone likes the movie and has another spare minute, feel free to rate the movie on IFilm.

In a fancy dining room. a fancy dining table has a hole just the size of monkey neck.

The chef bring some kind of teasty souse and a cute little monkey alive. Then they lock the cute little monkey to that hole. So we see the monkey head on the mid of table. Then they arrange the souse around the cute little monkey head. Of cause they ignore moneky noice. Then the chef.........

Monkey brain very expencive......

OK, it's well done, but lemme ask ye some questions. First of all, when did that "time loop" exactly start? That point of time when they first met? I see a big causality prob regarding that matter, if I may say so. And why ain't the girl able to remember the house she left some minutes ago? With the old salacious guy innit she left behind? The young luva boy says in one scene smth. like "I do some gardening". He should add "After killing the old salacious geezer who used to live here five minutes ago and occupying his house". Did that youth fountain water cause severe damage to her cerebrum or wut? Alternatively those guys could be been trippin' thru time? That would explain why that little place with the fountain where the girl sits around every now and then doesn't seem to change a tad, although that "time loop" may have gone forfuckingever.

OK, OK, 'nuff nitpickin', which movie does make sense anyway. I would have loved to see a lill bit mo dramaturgy tho. You know, everything comes with a price and some things are not meant to be changed - give 'em a sneak peek of the wonderful things that could be and that might be theirs and send 'em straight to hell afterwards. Did that make sense? Nah, whateva.

ChiaNi, I saw monkey brains in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom". Tastes like chicken. Heh heh. You are definitely the cutest Sijun member in a while. You should meet Synj.

Lunatique, I know. IFilm is a bulky site, and they don't let you download. Unfortunately, we don't have a good copy for download either.

Andromeda, thanks! Heh heh, teary eyed is good.

[666]Flat, hmm. You're the first person I've talked to who's so confused about the storyline. I don't want to go into it at the risk of spoiling the story. I guess it's however you interpret it.

But thanks for taking the time to watch. We appreciate it greatly! And thanks about the music. Our composer is indeed awesome.

Howdy!
I must say that I was really impressed with this film! I'm not an expert on short films or anything, but imo the whole film was just wonderful! The directing and music were very nice also...it was very touching. I'm glad you chose to share with us!
Oh yeah, and I'm glad there weren't any three story robots or insanely proportioned apocalypse girls running around. It's really nice to see a film that isn't shallow, and appeals to intellect and emotion instead of violence and loose morals. It just makes for a better film imho.
Anyway, it was very touching and I hope we can expect to see more in the future! Kudos on a job well done.
