interesting.
The shadows seem to be a darker color of the base color which, although giving the illusion of volume, doesn't look as good as a shadow with a different color in it. The outlines are a bit edgy and straight at some places and even unnecessary in others. You could tyr coloring the outlines for an interesting effect too.
The smoke looks a little artificial...it would be very difficult to get it to flow in a straight line upwards for that long - even in totally windless conditions.
I'm finding it a little hard to determine the direction of the light that is on her. It's not a bad picture, keep it up. |

Thanks for the C&C, Nova, much appreciated. Yes, I keep forgetting to use a complimentary color for shading...I am not sure what a good procedure is digitally, but I would be interested in any suggestions. I did get a bit lazy on my light sources and the smoke ribbon is a little too long, I agree. I may play around with coloring the lines on it...nice idea Thanks again! |
