Excercising is the only way to get better, and it's a -good- thing that you're trying to draw as many faces as possible. That's how I started out =]
I do think there's some consistent mistakes you make, though, the biggest of which, that I can see, is that you understate their chins, making their faces seem like they are disproportioned.
Try to study female and male faces, and try to get a feel for how the different features 'feel' and how they work together.
The leftmost face was my favourite, but for her chin. If you're trying to deliberately make the chins smaller, work a little bit more on the anatomy first =] Always good to have the 'right' way of doing it down, before playing around wiht styles.
Good luck =) |

Hmmm, Mick Jagger's undiscovered black lovechild in the middle there. Nice pic :-) |

Enayla - Thanks alot for taking the time to reply and point everything out. Yeah, I agree with the chins, although I just have so much trouble seeing it. I draw every day but I'm consistent in my mistakes. I've never had an eye for symmetry and certain angles, and can't see even obvious things unless I look at it sideways in a mirror, so I guess I'll keep working on it. Thanks though, I'll work on it.
SilentUK - Yeah, I think it's about time she's released to the public. You know, I'm trying to make art but make a difference too and reveal her presence.
Thanks everyone |
