hey guys.. i did this last saturday at a demo party, check it out (win32 dx8 sound and 3d card required - well sound card isnt but you'd be missing out on my version of system f - out of the blue )
check the file size, it's actually only 48kb.
some additional gfx by cp and ryg (didnt have the time to add them in the credits when the deadline for the competition hit)
enjoy!

looks over exposed.. Lots of white in there.. Hmmm cant you put that 3d shape against a black background or something??? Or make the 3d shape more visible?]
Looks cool thought

Hey Wayfinder. I didn't know you were in FR. That's cool. I definitely prefer 08 and 19 though. I don't share your taste in music. =)
Good going though. Don't expect people to understand what a 64K intro means in terms of technicalities.

thx wigin
lel, thank you - it should be okay..it runs fine on a p2-450 with a geforce3
egerie, thanks as i already mentioned, it's a remix, so i only take credit for the production, not the composing this time
frost: oh i think people do understand that - 48k, that's probably less than a low-q jpeg of their latest pic...
as for the music-- yeah, i recieve a lot of flak for loving well made epic trance. but i dont care any more, although i used to.
you have to understand that a LOT of time went into fr-08 and fr-019.. of course they're better.. they're infinitely more polished and everything. fr-027 is a one-day-production (content, not code), and i think for that it turned out really well.
anyway, enough of my rambling, enjoy the show!

Wayfinder: =)
What's the process of you making art for such an intro? You model something in LW or something and convert/compress it? How about animations, is it keyframed or scripted through the engine? Just curious.
And I didn't mean to say the intro sucked. It's great work for something done in one day.
Jonaz: Tell me more about 'Bomb Run'... =)

hehe.. cool.. Das Produkt strikes back..
impressive at usual.. considering everything.. nasty german coders eh.
I really like your spikey torus in the twisting helix fashion thingie.. =O)
graphicly speaking.. it's far from being consistent.. in the range from pretty to nasty.
but you know that.. and yes for a one day production, it's pretty ok.

jonaz, thx
spikey tori seem to be the latest fashion in modern design, i hear!
frost, the texture generator and the modelling system are modular (and save operations, not geometry - hence the precalc), animations are keyed. the editor is fully integrated, except for the music. |

ich glaub du bist hier falsch
die meisten sind amis und wissen nen intro und die codingleistung die dahintersteht nicht zu schaetzen.

I like the scene with the spinning spiked things. I took a sshot, inverted it, and set it as my bg. |
