There's some really slick animation there @:-) Only thing that stuck out for me was the mid-stride bounce. This seems to be happening too quickly, even if he is overly jubilent. Try spreading out the bounce over a frame or 2 more, so have the rise, peak and fall more than just a rise and fall that it seems to be at the moment.

Otherwise though, I love it! Looking forward to more @:-D

heh. just like mine....no no. very nice room you got, though a bit small, but good equipment I mean.

Yeah..I have premiere, but is it possible to paint/draw forex. this bear with computer, and use premiere, to get a animation what you got, or do I have to get a camera for that. I have made some animations with adhesive paste, you know, 3d, frame after another. really nice.
I could get a SONY1000 for lend...you know I'm in kind of a filmteam.

How many frames did you use in your animation? And how long did you do it?
I'm really interested.
good work.

That was only 16 frames, I think I filmed it in 3's, which means each frame is 3 frames long. You can import most image types into premiere so yeah, you should be able to import PC images into premiere.

This project took just a couple of hours, it was 16 frames and took about 5-10 to film it.

Brain: Thanks for props. Yeah the stretch on the hop when he is as tall as you get during your stride should prolly go 1 frame in front and behind that tallest one there, and will make it look not so 'hoppy'.

Looking at it now his right hand on the most forward point looks like his wrist is snapping a bit there.

I got an "A" on it, but I'm going to go back and fix this for myself though..

Umm dunno if you still accept comments on your anim but the strut porblem happends between frame 5 and 6. The change of height is too abrupt between your maximum and minimum height.
Another thing too... Don't retrace your frames when animating the opposite leg Or else he might look as if his left leg is comming toward us far too much on a perspective point of view. It's such a happy cutsey bear we wouldn't like it to fall !

Apart from that it's a very neato first line test. It's very good you noticed the change of height in the overal figure when a biped walks !
Anyway... If you'd like more feedback as to make it even more interesting give me a shout and I'll open the infoclut faucet

Cheers !

Very good: the movement on the feet is absolutely great, there's some very nice curving there. The arms look a little stiff in comparison though, more swing starting from the shoulder and rolling out through the elbow to the wrist would be better.

The change in height is too abrupt and exaggerated to really work though.

BTW, a great book for animation is "the animator's survival kit" by richard williams. It's got loads a great info on walk cycles.

Oh, yeah crits are always accepted, I plan on redoing this on my own time because I will be using it in future projects at school and may make a decent addition to a portfolio of my own work. I see the issues you both have raised and agree, sometimes it takes more then one set of eyes, and mine get biased. I'm going to go back and make the maximum height take 3 frames instead of 1 frame, should fix the 'popping' look. I'll also work out some smoothness on his arms so they don't look so robotic. Also on the legs, heh yeah I traced em. I didn't even think about them looking that way until you said it and now I can see it looks as if they are coming toward you! Thanks. I'll have to shorten those up a tad. Thanks.

I'm going to redo this and my ball bounce test. The dreaded 'turn around' is our next project for class..

@ 29, I'm digging going back to school and learning Animation, I hope Animation digs me as much as I'm diggin it.
