The style has a lot of variations in this peice.
Alice is done well... the cat is a leaning more to a blob with less shadows it will look better.
But that is not what i think looks "bad" or out of place. The trees are the area that look out of place here everything else is clean cut... but the trees and trunk Alice is sitting on is blured. a lot more detail is needed to bring unity to the work in the trees and the cat.
Alice is fine I think treat everything with that love and caring and you will have a rather nice peice
and if you are going to keep at this peice than forget what i said about the blured trees hehe
Alice arms... more like the hands need more difintion to show the fingers.
Keep going like i said if you keep the caring of the way you painted Alice to the whole peice it could be a nice peice. |

thanx so much--yea whenever i do a new piece, i always want to get it done fast so i take a lot more time on the main points of the piece...in this case alice...and pretty much forget about the background and sh*t.
i'll care for the cat more like i did for alice like you said..and i'll clean it and love it and feed it every day anyway u were very helpful--oh yea and about the hands--i tend to work on sizes that are really small so if i try to detail tiny things like the hands--i'll be dealing with a bunch of little pixels--recommend anything for that? |

Well for small detailing sometimes the mouse is it I do most of my work with the mouse just zoom in than add slight highlights where the light is hitting and a dark red a really dark red where the shadows are meant to be. Sometimes the smallest brush work can bring the painting to life
I am still sorta fanatical of the dark red and making your own blacks when painting and not using black paint at all only to darken areas... but for computer work I do not see much of a problem with a black... oh well that is just a matter of taste and sitatuion.
BRB I will do a slight paintover |

I really like the composition in this one The whole pic is more imaginative than anything I've ever done.
My only crits would be that some of the colours are quite saturated... But then again, this is Alice in Wonderland, it's not 'reality'.
It depends on what you're going for really, but I think if Alice's skin was a little less orange it would look better.
Nice stuff, I like all the different colours you have going in the background aswell. |

Ok the paintover btw I did not mention this before but i do like the colors and the orange like jasonN said is also right maybe tone it down a bit. but yes the colors are nice and bright.
did some minor work on the hands and put minor shadow under here arm that is on her white clothing part. not sure if this helps.
the hand on here white clothing had short fingers i made them slightly longer that is also another minor change I saw when i opened it in PS.

it was just pixel by pixel and slight blure to the shadows.
Sometimes you need to go up close and do small detailing
Thanks on the mask comment but I really want some opinions on it like what ideas and stuff |
