I liked the half-hour quickie so much that I took a shot at finishing it. My main task is usually getting the darn colours right, cause I'm still new to doing anything but greys. It's difficult thinking of both saturation and hue at the same time... I'm such a noob

I really like this a lot. I think where you made some mistakes is you had a nice concept sketch and sorta drifted away.

I went back and tried to capture what you had in your sketch.

Uhm.. you can see what I did. You dont have to use colors if the piece doesnt call for it. I think a non saturated grayed piece can be very interesting some times.

But basically I tried to add some blues in the background to receede. I tried to make the face "smoother". I removed the texture from clothes as it didnt fit.

Well.. I like this a lot. My version of face needs some highlights and light corrections but Id try to leave it non saturated.. sorta a peaceful relaxation for the eye from the background. I also may have messed up her anatomy a bit -- but you can see.

These are just my opinions. Nice work again.

i like the colors alot, but with the chick, do you want to make her look old? because your drawing looks like it's inbetween. i wonder what she would look like if she was abit older.
