Here's a sketch I did for Bill @ a drawing session a while ago.
And here's my painted version.
Haven't been posting much. Work is consuming most of my time. I am putting together a new portfolio. Should be done in mid-May. I'll try to post the finished artwork when I finish them.
Enjoy. |

i really like the line version better...a lot better.
The typed text looks bad like that, in the middle of the picture. If it's for bill, from you i think it'd be nicer to keep the "to bill" writing instead of your name and date...you can include that in a more discreet way IMO. The background looks a little confusing and takes attention away from the main subject. The shoulder-pad looks like it was done using some weird filtering process in photoshop that creates a contrast keeping it from blending in with the rest of it all.
I hope i'm not sounding too mean but it seems unfair to the piece that you'd do such a good job drawing it and then all but improve it with the coloring process.
Again, I apologise if i'm coming off as rude but i don't think my thoughts will help you if they're just in my head. If they don't help you even after being expressed in words, just ignore 'em all.
