Finally! Around 24 hours of work and it is finished!

First time for me that I tried this style of coloring. Generally I prefer to keep black outline. I admit it was a great experience for me

I had great fun making this picture. Now that it is not anymore a WIP, I think it is ready to face critics and comments here :P

I think that chain weapon thing is pretty groovey, unfortunantly it's one of the last things my eye landed on.

well, there are a lot of anatomy issues i think. skin toning is off, it has a plastic look to it in most areas, but there are a few that are good. i think her hair is incorrect considering how she is jumping, moving. the forshortening of the legs is really odd, and im pretty sure its nearly impossible to get your legs in that position when jumping, (maybe not impossible, it just looks really odd).

The weapons look really nice, good metal reflections. the environment is pretty nice. the background is pretty cool looking.

ya, thats all i have to say about that. I think its an ok painting, but you need to work on some areas of your drawing style n such.

Jesusclone - Do you mean that the only thing groovy is the weapon, and everything else not terrible?

[666]Flat - Thanks. Yes the colors are a little vivid that is true, but it is how I like to colorize! Check my site and you'll see

Jabber - There are a lot of anatomy issue, I agree! This is why I try awkward positions : to learn how to correct them!

When I started the drawing, everything seemed fine, but once I finished it I realized where were all the mistakes. (expecially on foreshortenings). In fact someone did an overpaint on my drawing, correcting these issues in the W.I.P thread for this drawing, but it was much to late for me to take them in account in this paint.

The position is hardly achievable I think, except if you're a super-heros! In fact, I conceived that in a spirit of fiction, not realism!

About skin color, I would be really happy if someone correct that on this image, just to show me what is wrong!

I'm glad you like the weapons, the environment and the background! Those were the longest part to paint!

Thanks

I think her face could use a little more definition. Compared to the chain on her wrist, which is so carefully rendered, her face looks like a fuzzy blur.

Very nice weapon.

Looks pretty good. Although she kinda looks pasted on. My favourite part is the impressively rendered blade on a chain in the foreground!

Macho2k - On 23 hours of coloring, I must admit the chain required around 7 hours of work! I never thought it would be so long when I first did the pencil drawing That chain was really hard to do!

Kaete - In such drawing, I admit it was hard for me to handle the differences of details. I agree the face is less detailed that the wrist. I should have spent more time on face (especially on lips and nose).

I'm pleased you like the weapon. It required some work too (around 2 hours). In fact, I spent like half my time coloring the chain+sting weapon, and the other half coloring the rest of the image. This is why perhaps the difference in detail is so big.

Radiater - This is my coloring style that perhaps gives this "pasted on" style. And I do not operate the same way on metallic surfaces which consequently look shinier.

Thanks a lot for your comments and critics guys !!!

Very cool, lostpapers!

Your painting method looks very clean, polished and precise. There's none of the blurry lines and smudging seen in this pic that seems to be taken for granted in most wacom paintings. Sweet looking character as well. Like everyone else has said, the chain looks wicked and the huge blade on the end is awesome.

Just be a little more careful lighting the objects in the scene. It looks like there's a strong light-source from the upper right of the girl, looking at her flesh and outfit, but the metal blades and the concrete wall don't seem to catch that same light. A nice rough porous texture on the wall would make a good touch-up, too.

Hope that helps

Highfive - Thanks for your comment.

In fac tI try not to have blurry lines with my wacom by doing a lot of editing ( I use Eraser tool a lot, and I do not hesitate to cut in my colors with the lasso tool )

I'm really happy the chain weapon is pleasing people as it was a hard part to work in this picture.

Fact is that the background was added during the coloring and adapted so that it does not steal the thunder from the girl. Consequently the light on wall was not well done.

Moreover I suck at doing background, especially when it requires textures. So you're completely right, this wall could benefit from some work, but I admit I don't know how to do that!

In any case your comment helps me alot. I'll try to focus on those points next time!
