Reminds me of the tree they encounter down by the stream when going to Bombadil. Hot and hazy, and an evil tree.
The pic isn't all that readable.
And I think you should rework the rays of sunlight coming through the foliage.
Because the sun is so distant, its rays are virtually parallel, except when you draw them in perspective. Good colours, and nice and evil atmosphere.

If I was walking in the woods and stumbled across that tree I sould pee my pants and run away screaming like a 12 year old school girl.

I love the lighting on along the top of the tree. this is a really cool image.
