real cool pic, must have taken quite a while.
anyway, im my opinion (and thats my twisted taste for things to be) the hear should be just a tad wider and the arms maybe a bit stronger. otherwise all i got to say is way to go, very impressive |

I think its really cool. yep, too many wrinkles on the sleeve. i, personally, don't think the hand is bad. i'd like to see more detail at the bottom...just my 2 cents. its good work. |

woah cool.. excellent presentation and pose. sunraven is right about the too many wrinkels in the cloth. But I bet you'd hate going back and fixing it... I know I would.
Very cool hows he's holding a cube.. looks like a very wise intelligent guy.
keep up good work !

I've worked on it for probably 8 hours or so (trying to get my mind of all the damn uni work! Though luckily I'm done with it now ).
Razzak: I'm guessing you mean ear right? Yeah, it could be a little larger I think. About the arms... well I dunno... it wouldn't hurt I guess, but I'm not sure it would fit the style... I'll try it for my next I think.
SunRaven: Yeah, the wrinkles stand out. Seems like the cloth is really thin, like silk or something. I might soften them up a bit... I was going to add some more stuff at the bottom, but I'm not sure what yet
Swampbug: Thanks, I'm quite pleased with how his posed ended up. The cube he's holding is a holographic storage device. Basically it's a three dimensional way of storing data and retrieving it using lasers. The research is all there, they just haven't come up with a material that can withstand the heat yet... Quite cool. A cube that size could probably hold around a terabyte of data or more! Hey there,
Let me just start out by saying that the boa thing he has around his neck was actually based on something I think I might have seen here quite a while ago. Some chick that had something similar. Whether it was actually metal or not I'm not sure, but that's what mines supposed to be anyway
Artistically this is at the peak of what I can do at the moment, but I'm getting better every time, which is a good feeling I do however have a tendency to stare myself blind on the stuff I'm working on, so if you have any ideas, suggestions or critiques at all I'd really like to hear them, good as bad!
The stuff I'm aware of at the moment is that there are too many wrinkles on his sleeves, and that the hand is slightly off, but it's as close as I could get it...
Thanks in advance for your comments And finally:
- Mike |
