Hi there, been a VERY long time since i posted anything here, but made this the other day while experimenting with textures and rendering and some post effects in PS...

nice! love the grass.. mushroom looks like the surface of mars.. but i think that's what makes it cool

and yeah.. nice lighting :]

Cool.. i really like the render and lighting, but what is this grey line around the silhouette? i think it tends to flatten the image a bit. i also think that the texture of the earth could look better , it's too smooth and lumpy right now.

hey, thanx for the comments...

ok, so the general opinion from most of the people that i have shown this to is:
1: the ground/earth texture just doesn't cut it....
2: the glow is too much under the shroom (what do YOU think)
3: the grass is too bitty, needs more antialiasing
4: the flower textures need work (i personally like them as they are, soft and smooth kind of feel to them)


The lighting in this scene is basically just 1 omni light in max, then i used an orange and black map in the skylight for Brazil...

I then just added some extra lighting in Photoshop......
