i really like the patern on his snake body area part thingy do-hicky.... anyways, i also really like the sword. nice pic
my only suggestion would be to do something with the background, just a little bit more. shadows or something. |

From l5r right? Man I love that game. Anyhoo your pic is looking good. Neck seems a little fishy to me though. And the arm seems to disappear behind the shield. |

Just wanted to comment that I really liked the post. I think specially with such an odd form it's hard to make it look "Just right" but I think you did a superb job.
Very well done piece. |

He looks very evil and damn fast, Raist. Love those streaks running across his tail and the design on the strap across his chest. Wicked stuff!
As a crit, I reckon the cheeks on the guy's face should have the same shading values as the pectorals. The sides of the cheeks seem lighter than other parts of the body facing the same direction. I think the same goes for his right pectoral, too. |

Looks pretty friggin sweet man. Only thoughts are that his right (our left) pectoral is hihglighted very differently than the leather straps would suggest. Might wanna fix that. Also his shield just seems to be at the worng angle. It looks awesome but his arm seems to have to be dooing funky stuff for it to look like that. Other than that it looks great! |

Image looks good. The tail on the rightside top, looks cut off.
Other than that, looks good. |

roundeye:
Thanks
Every time I do a new piece I try to improve and take it a level higher.
Qjackson:
Thanks
jabber:
Thanks
I would have loved to do some really cool background but I can't. This is supposed to be for a game and I was told the bg should be neutral.
DarkTerrax:
Thank you
It took me a couple of sketches before I was satisfied with it.
Lomi:
Thanks
Maybe it's the teeth? I can't figure it out.
Highfive:
Thank you. The streaks were a last minute addition. I felt the tale needed a little variation.
Glad you like.
The lighting on the face may be what Lomi is talking about.
Lighting is one of the main areas I am always trying to improve.
Thanks for the observations and crits!
melted petal:
Thanks
Never noticed that about the shield/arm thing.
Thanks for making me aware of it.
Either I'll fix it or be lazy and try to explain it away
Neo-MatrixX
Thank you
Yeah it does look a bit straight edged.
That's why I gotta get me a larger tablet.
It should be easy to fix though. |

Does his tail actually get fatter towards the end right at the left side or is it just me? |
