What exactly are you trying to say with these short repeating loops? I dont get it.
Modeling looks nice...but is there an artistic statment that is trying to be expressed.....or is it just supposed to be weird? |

uh, hey robert... uh, er... what am i trying to say?
all six are shorts im making for myself, i have alot of issues about sex, guilt over sex, guilt over voyourism, guilt over almost all my feelings, uh... and pulling these images from somewhere in my subconsious, building them, then posting them for everyone to see is like a kind of therapy... they feel like little tumours that by making, i can get out of my body...
that said tho, the series is over. you can maybe tell by looking at 'hands can understand' that i gave up, instead of ending the series with a bang, i end it with a half assed attempt... thing is i have an idea, - something i didnt have before starting this little series which opened my imagination up a little (lot) so this idea is going to eventuate in a FIVE minute "real" short, which is the kinda thing ive wanted to do for some time now, but needed to test* the water a little...
anyway, thanks for downloading and commenting.... |

yeah well while you're volunteering us all as your therapists here why don't you put the resolution a little lower than 2180911 x 2181901?

these would be really nice playing on some flat LCD screens hanging on the walls of a room/gallery with some ambient sound.
I think maybe you should stick to black and white though, gives it a nice creepy old film feel. And you need to work a bit on whatever system you're using for fluid simulation, its too blobby and fake i'm afraid.
If anyone is in NYC there is a nice animation show at PS1 right now, also some great sound/experience installations. |

synj : sorry about the resolution, i realise they take a few minutes longer to download than they should, messing around with digital video is something i dont have much time for (i work full time doing... DATA ENTRY!) ive been messing with divx lately, and at least the files are not as big as they were when i started (sp.avi is one second long, and three megs big)
napalm : i feel really guilty about the liquid effects, thing is my computer is so old and slow that working with complicated particles is nearly impossible. |
