I added a tut with this pic showing my thought process.
This image will be painted and will have its own tutorial, so when its all said and done the tutorial will start with the concept sketches all the way to the finished painting.

The reason im adding such a detailed tutorial is to dismiss some peoples beliefs that I steel art from a certain artist.

Also for some of you people who come into my post trying to discredit me or just want to start a flame war be advised that I will no longer reply to your childish accusations.

I strongly believe in criticism, if you know how to use it as an artist it can be very helpful but childish rants are of no value to me nor most people here.

The above comments were directed towards just a few individuals who come here just to terrorize the board, and in no way are directed to the majority of good people who come here.

thanks for the tutorial deathdealer. I love your style, it looks so clean and pure. Just very cleaned up. No pencilstrokes are visible.. as in mine for example! I am sure I will learn somethin'..

shhhhhh.. don't beat the dead horse, Agent.

Death, this is awesome man! Thank you very, very much for this tutorial. I'm already finding it enlightening and there hasn't even been colour added yet. Great work, as always - you have a very unique style. Looking at this, I can't even fathom how you got so much detail into the middle section of this pic.. ugh, too good.

I can't wait for the next part!

Good stuff. I, as everyone, always appreciates a good tutorial. Here's a crit for you, Your work is really nice, very clean. But your line quality is all the same, most of your lines are the same width. Trying varying your line widths based of certain aspects you either want to; emphizize, bring closer/pop out, to define shapes within other shapes, where shapes meet, etc.

I think with a little line variation the pictures and style could really fly of the page and knock ya for a loop.

The tutorial is fantastic! It's always nice to see the progression of a great piece like this.

Jucas makes some interesting points about line weight. It would be interesting to compare this to a version that had more varied line wieghts. However, I think the way DeathDealer has it now might actually be be better. There's something about the uniformity of the line, that lends itself to his style.

Again, great stuff DD. I look forward to the painted version.

Jucas - I have to disagree with you about the line weights. Usually I might bring up that argument myself, but if Dealer were to change the way he does these lines his entire style would change. Personally I find the style very beautiful and unique. I can spot one of his pictures a mile away.

And how DO you do those shadows? It boggles my mind!

Snowman... I was referring mostly to his other pieces where the shadows don't seem to be layer effects all all. They are from totally different angles.
