Weird things tend to happen at image compression and different gamma settings.

it's good. Although I can't focus in this picture. It makes my eyes wobble around. maybe it needs better focus on something interesting. Now it is only a pretty background. But what the heck i'm not here to mock on everything i see. It's a good start, but the wobbling...
EDIT: I looked again. It's great. don't mind me.. still wobbling...

Hey that’s a sweet piece, I really like how you captured the cities sophistication.
My focus tends to gather around the tie-fighter cockpit thingies. Try to define them a bit more and it'll boost the over all detailed feel of this piece. Also try adding some contrast in the foreground. Check out worthless-meat-sack’s latest piece, that’s a prime example where the detail only exists at the focal point.
3 things that gather the viewers attention:
1. Saturation
2. Detail and complexity
3. Value or, Illumination
There are more but thats the 3 things I feel most effective. For a good example, again, you go back to Mr. meat sack last piece, your eyes are immediately yanked over to the red on the pirates head, then to his shoulder.

Very nice job! Were the blueish illuminated areas at the bottom added afterwards or something? They seem like an afterthought :] But in any case, maybe add the same lovely detail to those areas that's in the rest of the paint? |
