Hey Guys, loong time no see, ey ?
I've been very busy/lazy lately. I don't know why, but it might have somehting to do with not having internet connection at work. But, I have a lot to post, so I'll start with this one.
It's just a quickie I did for a friend of mine. He asked for a charicature of his girlfriend, and this is the result...
nothing much |

Very well done, for a caricature though it probably wouldn't hurt to exaggerate features more. |

Well Joachim, I think its good...
somehow I think the style of painting in the face doesnt match the realistic body tho.. I would almost expect to see a really small torso... make her look thin.....
dont get me wrong the face and the torso by themselves are good enough but together dont seem to match... |

Looking forward to see more of your recent stuff..

Hey guys, and thanks for liking the charicature.
I agree very much that the colors are too monochromic....I kind of knew it even when I sat and painted it. I also agree that the proportions could have been exaggerated much more too. The reason why I didn't do so, was that I've never met this girls, and so it was very hard, even though I had a photo ref to help me. But, you kind of need to know a person to make a good charicature, or atleast seen them in motion a couple of times.....so that you know their attitude, what makes them special, etc.
Awetopsy, you have a good point, though it doesn't bother me that much, I don't know, maybe it would have been better if I made the body even smaller, so that the heads size to the body looked more goofy? But, to late for that now
anyway, here's the ref pic:
I had a couple of other situational pictures with here too, just so that I could see some more angles, so that it would be a bit easier to find something to exaggerate. But, the guy I made it for says it's just like looking at her, so I hope I pulled that part off, or maybe he is just being nice, hehe -you never know
