It finally worked!!!! I thought I was going to lose my mind.

Anyway, this is a package illustration for Alien vs. Predator. It was all done in Photoshop.

I'm going to bed now......

Excellent. Wonderful subject of course. I noticed your homepage link does not work at the moment. What is your background? Are any of these (this and eden) work related peices or are they fan art? Excellent detail. What rez did you do the work in?

Wait a minute. I hate to interupt this "kissing of the ass" party. But why does the Predator have human toes on its right foot?

Dont get me wrong I like this Pic as much as the next guy.

lechuck, I have no idea but it doesn't matter cause the toes get cut off on the package.

Tiger Eaten, I'm an illustrator in Santa Monica mainly involved with packaging. This package should be on the shelves soon.

Thanks for the kind words from the rest of you!

Wow, really impressive! Only thing that is really bothering me is the predator's shadow, should it really be there looking like that? It could just be my knowledge of lighting isn't enough.

Great work Mergatroid! Very profesional looking style.
I'm not to familiar with the Alien vs. Predator comics but to me this looks like Alien and Predator vs. the other guy. But I still think that it is great.

All the pics you posted recently are great. So you should't say you are sorry for posting that much instead we should say thank you.

I've heard of some rumours telling something of "editing is possible" ... what could that mean???

The picture is great, without doubt, but it seems that you dont know how to handle the forum.

cool painting!

i don't know if you studied the predator and alien before you painted this, but if you did so, could you please post your reference or send it to me via email? would be very useful .

crits:
i think you used way to much black in this, althoug it is actually dark in this tunnel; maybe you could create more depth in this piece if you find out which area in the scene realy have to be the darkest and this should not be somewhere far behind the main focus of it.
the green illuminated pipes left to the right leg of the predator is a bit blurred, would look better i think if you would make them colder in color or less saturated and more subtile (make this any sense at all?) instead.

oh and another question related to sijun lesson thread... there seems to be no white light source in your scene... so can there be any white reflexions on the head of the alien?

Awesome. Did you use burn and dodge or separate colors smudged. What type of brush do you use?

Thanks,
Logan

I totally agree with alot of your comments but it had a lot to do with the clients needs and with layout issues. Type and stuff had to read off the BKG. In the end it doesn't really matter cause most of it gets covered with screen shots.

Hey Brain, I'm still picking on the 5-string! Trying to learn the songs of the Stanley Bros., already got Hard Times but having a difficulty with Clinch Mountain Backstep.
How have you been?
