As I watched the horrors of Sept.11, 2001 unfold on TV. I knew I had to paint what I saw in the ashes. Angels and heroes were born. The American spirit was being reborn. Eyes were opened in horror and the realization of our
vulnerability. My own included and I knew I needed more than a flag to remind me of that. This picture started out as just something for me. A healing perhaps. Busy hands... I must do something to keep my sanity. Then I thought to share it. Perhaps it would bring someone comfort and people would see what I so humbly tried to create. It still isn't good enough, how could it ever be? But it is from my heart.

Very nice and thoughtful. It will grace my desktop as a sign of my compassion for all those who suffered and for my respect for you.

I failed to see the "thoughtfulness" of the motive, it has nothing do with hope and reinforced power of will neither do I see any connection to Tolkien's "Master of the Rings". It reminds me of paintings I've ssen in churchs. How good or bad that ever might be. The guy in the background holding the flag looks funny though.

Please change the font to something more appealing and readable, thanks.
