Hey there. I was just playing around with a cockpit concept. It's still at it's rough stages, but I'd appreciate any early critiques before I start polishing the piece.

you REALLY need to work on your hand drawing. take a day to just draw your hand in as many positions as you can. there is never an excuse for a poorly drawn hand. you have all the reference you'll ever need right in front of you.
the "highlights" on them just get annoying. don't do this. if you want to show form on an object like a human, use shadows not highlights. highlights are for shiny objects. not shirts and skin.
the green text is a nice effect.
try using a lasso technique for coloring. lasso areas that you want to color, and use shift and alt to make the lasso tool add or subtract space. then color without worrying about going over the lines. also. put your "pencils" on a separate layer and change their blend property to "multiply" then color on a layer underneath them. |

Such a racist and sarcastic comment to somebody, who hasn't got any hands and draws with toes.

wow. it looks a lot cleaner now, dude.
just one last suggestion. just aesthetically, i might like to see some stars in the sky. perhaps go completely black and then just put some fuzz with spots of color to represent stars. check out the hubble website for some ideas on what space can look like. it's also a great place to get images to use for textures. check it out some time.
but really, good repaint. |
