I'm up waaaay too late... need to go to bed.
I really like both of these. The first one has a lot of attitude, and I especially like the shading and the colours on the guy's face. The girl reminds me SO much of someone I used to know.
The second picture is soooo sweet. I don't really have any crits for any of the two - I just thought I'd pop by and say that I really like them. |

Hey Cos, I like them!
If you want a crit ... hmm ... the prespective of the arm on the second one seems to be a little bit off, but I'm just nit picking. Nice work. |

Nice stuff Cos=)
crits:
I think the bottom one could use a few more large shapes as opposed to it all being "bitsy". but Idunno you make it work well, and it fits with your style.
the mountians in the BG should be a bit lighter I feel and less detailed (more simple shapes)
ok Rin's crap overpaint time. heh, it don't look much better, but hey.
the fingers look a bit strange now that I look at it. the hand is the same value as the first row of finger joints (now this where I need to know my anatomy names. ack) they need to be slightly different I think. becuase if the second row of joints are bent the first has to be bent somewhat as well (to not do so requires effort). and thus they wouldn't be on the same value plane.

wow, thought this was just gonna plummet back down replyless.
Enayla - Hey, thanks alot! actually with that first pic, I kinda had your work in mind while I was doing it. That kind of mysterious, surrealish, romantic feel you get.. Not sure how well I did, actually the idea behind it is one of them is a vampire.. which one?? (wooo, mystery) and they're going to turn the other for the live fast, die young, stay beautiful fun life of a vampire couple (wooo, romance), and then.. well wasn't it obvious!?? maybe I've watched one too many buffys heh.. ok I'm gonna shut up now, I'm glad you liked them =)
Duracel - hehe thankyou, atmosohere was what I was going for =) yea I posted the second pic here before, earlier version. As I've improved I just wanted to rework his face a little, which kinda sucked, (and then a few other bits..) I have a habit of doing that, guess I shouldn't otherwise I'm just gonna keep coming back all the time as I improve. I thought this had some potential tho, so I'll let it off.
Grendhal - thanks! I see what you mean with the arm, its a good point. The perspective gave me a few probs when I did it, I just ignored it. (bad bad bad) I will get someone to reference the pose next time.
Rinaldo - hey, thanks for the paint over. I agree about the background, simpler shapes and lighter would of made them look more distant. I kinda had that in mind and then I forgot to keep it that way. About the hand I'm not too sure what you are saying, I'm not an expert or anything when it comes to the values or value planes, etc. It does kinda looks right to me. If they were all slightly different, think that would over work it abit. Like the hand was going round, sphereish, hope that made sense.. but thanks for the input, always good to hear opinions.
