I just started on some quicky painting with Cos, 15-30 min max.
This is great fun if anyone wants to join in with the painting or have their own suggestions for subject matter to paint, please feel contribute,
I'd love to see what everyone else comes up with.

First is 3 figure minimum western showdown/face off type thing - 15min

Second is an underwater fight scene/confrontation
(a woman, against man or beast) - 25min

Third a bloody Samurai duel - 25min

Fourth is large creature (in air) attacking a slayer male/female (on ground)
It must have action perspective, either from slayer view looking up or creature view looking down - 30min

fifth a desert landscape - 15min

Others on the list are:

Morning scene in apartment- cop woken, half dressed with gun hoster, looking
out window (sitting or standing) on street below, light coming in through window.

War scene (any era) figures-double digits minimum, can be in battle but not
essential.

Warriors on horseback

Ninja creeping on rooftops (must show some surrounding woodlands)

Icy background scene (including animals wolves or other)

Space battle (free reign)

Here's why I don't spend more time trying to do observational drawings in PS. Thought it might be interesting but it's not. 30 min.

Morbid, your colors are really nice.

Cool idea! I love being "commanded" to draw!

I picked some of your ideas and did some quickies.
It's late, so I have to quit now:

Cop in window (just had to noise up this!):

Ninja:

Warriors on horse:

Geoman2k, great stuff, very nice action feel to the saurai one, looking forward to seeing more.

Greenpeach, I need to do more observational stuff like that, good practice. You gonna give any of this stuff a go, love to see how you'll tackle them if you do, you got a great style for the subject matter, nice pic btw.

Olve, looking great, very nice atmosphere on the cop and ninja one, can't wait to see more!

Thanks Kat but this is not really my idea I'm just jumping on the quicky drawing bandwagon, :P I got inspired by stuff I saw people doing here, plus it's great
practice.

Here's one more, cop one. more to come later on.

Here are some of my quicky paintings that I've done over the past few months. I usually don't save my quickies but I found some old ones lying scattered around my harddrive. Some are drawn with the use of reference and some without. I think I'm going to make more of these. I usually do like a couple each week. It's a great (and fun) way of learning.

1. Snowy Mountain. I think I've posted this one here before.

2. Landscape

3. Cape with lighthouse

4. Some weird red landscape. From Mars maybe?

5. Sunset

Something tells me that Geoman's samurai one was inspired by link-cable Bushido Blade.
