I posted the first addition of this a week or two ago. I took the advice and tried to fix it.
What do you guys think.

That's really great! I didn't see the first version but this one is stunning. Very realistic. I like the way the sunset flares up behind the ark.
You can almost smell the animals from here! |

Wow! That has got so much more depth than the first one you posted. I like the way you've left the ark open for intepretation.
Nice with the grey in the sky. Is it after a reference?
Good work. |

thanks guys
Its starting to grow on me a little.
pixualize: I imagine the ark smelled pretty bad after that trip.
Dr.ZuLu: I did use a little reference. Just for the sky not the ark. |

This is a very pretty picture... the sun looks really nice
But you're not getting away without a crit, muhahah...
My only crit is that unless you had said this was a picture of the arc, I would have thought it was a floating coffin. Sure it doesn't make much sense to be a floating coffin, but that's just what it looks like to me, hehe. Maybe you could give it some sort of defining arc-like characteristic? Even just to turn up the nose on one end a bit so it looks less box-like and more boat-like?
... a thought

Another thing I noticed is that the glare on the water should probably get slimmer or less thick/bright as it gets "closer" to the viewer. I'm gonna shamelessly plug in a photo I took here because it seems to illustrate my point really well... has a boat and everything!
Hope this is helpful :>

Hopefully this is finished. I think that this is as good as this design is gonna get. Not my favorite piece I've ever done but oh well.
Hope you guys like it.

It's not done Dammit!!!!!!!! hehehehe...No actually I think it's working better. The background reads more as a sun than a huge methane-fireball leaping from the rectums of the animals!
*Don't light a match Noah!!!!!!!!*
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*
whoops. |
