This is my first post; Please tell me what you think. I'm another one of those amateurs trying to learn anatomy (man, hard stuff!).

The line-work is really shoddy, but that's what I get for using a bic "round stic" on a rough surface.

learn to break your subject down to its basic shapes first. learn how the body would look in cubes and cylinders.

that should help give you an idea of basic form and size.

go look at http://antsin3d.com/loomis/ and study the artists breakdown of the form.

Great link Awetopsy. Also I agree...her proportions are definitely awry. Try working on the form...her legs seem to be a little short...or it could just be the way she's standing. But nice first pass.
