hey, here's some caricatures i drew. these are people from my 2d techniques course.

any crits/comments? i know it's hard to tell how true they are when you dont know the person in real life, but what could i improve on them anyways?

My one serious attempt at charicature drawing (always been pretty happy with the results too).

Color version: http://users.bigpond.net.au/sumaleth/suma_levelord.jpg

If you're wondering who it is; http://www.levelord.com

Row.

hehe sumaleth I was gonna write "you know, that looks a lot like levelord!" but then I scrolled down

and wayfinder, the problem you're having with the chin is because it fades into the background's color, try changing the background to a lighter neutral color, see if that helps you, otherwise it looks fine

faustgfx, thanks!

wyatt, thanks! never seen that cartoon though

sumaleth, that's a great rendering, but you are very close to his real face, aren't you.. looks a bit like one of these superdeformed manga characters, just older
anyway, i like it a lot.

shahar2k, actually i think this fading into the background thing is what saves the chin from being a total failure i think i might play around with more skin tones to make it look less like a puppet.

spent some more time on him, skin tones mainly, and a (crappy) second light source

Nice charicatures... prety fun when you do your whole class.. make a collage of them, and then present it to the teacher.
