Just wanted to know if anyone was into new school skiing, and thinks snowboarding sucks, because their all about image. If anyone knows what a D-spin is then you already know that skiers pull the sickest airs on the mountain. JP Auclair rules, and is a god to me! You Ontarians know what i mean
I know this sounds wierd comming from an aussie, but believe it or not, we get snow too!
check this out, me on hotham 2001
sorry i'm with geosites copy and paste it

Shit man, is that seriously you? You can do a misty? That's sick.
I've been skiing since I was 3, and just got into new school skiing a couple years ago. I could pull 720's before I got my freestyle skis, but now I can throw 900's with relative ease I've never even attempted an inverted trick, I'd probably shit myself.
When I was in Whistler last winter we hiked outta bounds and did a mini video-shoot. We floating HHHUUGGEEE 360 mute grabs over a distance of like a hundred feet. It was incredible.
Damnit, you made me wanna ski!$&*&*%
And yes, JP is a god. |

a bit off the subject, but isn't it spelled "skiing" instead of "sking"? |

Skiing is cool, Ive Skied in Europe a couple of times, that was awesome..
Yea Australia has snow, but nothing compared to Europe and the States.. Ive gone down to the slopes some years and there has been 1 thin streak of snow on the mountain (Man made) |

Corn Pops, you are my new best friend, but it's hard to believe that you are pulling 900s LANDING SWITCH! and have't attempted an invert, although trying to get the guts to do your first backflip is not easy, but once you get that first one down you'll see how easy it really is. A backflip is less than the equivelent of a 360, so that means you should be pulling tripple backs! Hell i was made to do my first backie of a mogul. Youv'e got snow outside now so go pull some cool shit on your twinies. And show me how it goes.
Freddio, your right about aussie snow, the only thing that slushy wet stuffs good for is packing in jumps, Although I was in Canada last year and it wasn't much better, they had a shit season.

Heh, well believe it, bucko!
You're spot on, I haven't mustered the balls to try a backflip yet. I dunno, it just freaks me out. I don't like the idea of possibly snapping my neck by landing on my head. :P
Landing switch isn't all that hard man, I think it's way over-rated. Have you ridden twins? I ski backward down entire runs, it really isn't that hard at all.
Heh, we don't have snow now dude.. not a single flake. In fact, today it was 66 degrees outside (14 celsius or so). I have a few older pics though:
This is from 2 years back in Quebec. (Don't mind my retarded facial expression.)
Last year at Whistler.
Also last year at Whistler.
Sorry about the shit quality of the photos, I plan to erase that problem this year with my new digital camera.. oooooo I can't wait.
Damn you and your ski-talk! I've been trying so hard to supress the ski-devil inside me.
Take it easy bro, nice to see a fellow slope-guru

hehe... the closest 'mountain' to me is a pile of trash, literally. they took a dump and put some grass over it and now people ski on it. i dont ski though so this is kind of random. |

Dont worrie corn pops, it's only your central nervous system that you'd damage, plus your waring a helmet, what could possably go wrong. Hey youv'e got the same skis as me, sick shots dude, wish we had parks with huge jumps like whistler. i had a pair of the first 1080s, but because i treated them like rock hoppers, they decided to snap on me while i was overseas, I couldn't understand why Salomon wouldn't cover the warranty. Here's another pic for ya, this was at Big White last year, the shittest place in BC, possibly the world, i don't see what your complaining about, i have to wait 9 months for winter!

Weird to see other freestyle skiers on an art forum! This is awesome though. I went up to Whistler for a summer camp 2 years ago which was by far the coolest thing I have ever done. Now my friend and I are planning a 1 month trip up there next summer. We have the condo set up and just counting the days. Should be a senior trip to remember!
Great pics by the way.

Hey xXxpzxXx, have you got any photos to show us? I was hoping to go to a ski camp in Wanaka in NZ, but there's no way a bum like me can afford the $4000 US dollars (thats about $8000 AUS) so I'm trying to hook up a deal with fellow Aussie Dirk Nannas who runs a camp in Vancouvers Mt Seymor, it's a bit cheaper.
The only way i can fuel my appitite is to watch Ski movie 1 and 2, in all good, and some bad retail stores near you |

My homestead account just got deleted due to me not wanting to pay them 5 bucks to keep my site alive (which was a site of me and a buddy skiing) It was a shameful peice of crap anyway. Here is a picture of my friend Lewis doing a misty 540. I just had to get all artsy fartsy with it though =(
