One more post, I thought I would show a variety of my stuff. I just finished this woodscape, I'm struggling to get better at landscapes and backgrounds.

Very Nice,
love the compistion, Some more defined shadows and contrast could make this really punch.

great. i think this would be a perfect illustration for a 'lord of the rings' book. i especially like the shadows on the tree.

i am truly green with envy. Question : did you use a photo refrence, make it up or draw from nature?

Thanks for the comments. I am actually doing these sketches in preperation to do an oil painting. I am trying to do work on some more traditional mediums, I love my puter and work on it lots but also love using my hands and feeling the materials.

I did draw this completely from memory or out of my head, no references. I do use references and I am a big believer in them, but I also try to teach myself to remember how things look. It is a struggle. I also try to tackle things I have trouble with, push myself and all that crud.

Thanks again (more comments welcome :-) )
