I first painted a chrome robot horse as a class assignment. I liked the subject so much I painted another one and used it as the cover for my calendar. I was not too happy with the horse design still so I painted this the third try. Marker, acrylic and airbrush 20"X40" or 50cmX100cm

Alright Al Yu, I've been trying to get chrome right ..and now that I thought I did, you have to shoot me back to mars with this piece:P What's the technique man, rules of thumb, anything that you used to create this. I'd be really interested to know! |

Thanks guys for your nice comments!
Wiked Ewok: To draw chrome! I would recommend that you take a chrome object and observe it carefully outdoor. Notice how the sky, usually in cool blue hues reflects on all the surfaces facing upward and the ground usually in warm brown or green hues reflects on all the surfaces pointing downward. Also observe carefully where the horizon appears on the object. Than apply what you observe to the chrome object you are drawing.
