here's a new one from me, i didn't get to spend enough time on it but i think it's done

ooooooohhhhh.....

not bad.. I think your lighting needs some work but I think the pic over all is quite effective.. although I dont understand the Cleopatra style eyes?!?

[edit] oh yeah and she needs a neck. I know its there but it just looks like more hair... :?/

thats pretty cool, but i think the eyes need more depth. also, theres more to them than just a black outline

uuum... neck please.

nice work tho. i think that u should, on one hand, ease the transitions between the shaded areas to the lit ones (like underneath the nose and on the nose bridge closer to her left eye) and on the second hand make the hair sharper. i highly recommand this tutorial -http://www.gameart.com/tutorials/index.asp?tutorial=hair2

your on the right track,but you need to
study lighting and human anatomy a little more.Try drawing in black in white or pencil.
Then move on to color. Keep up the good work.

thanks guys i think it does look better with a neck...
and i did use that tutorial as a reference to paint the hair i guess still need more practice on that and on the whole thing i guess...
i'm quite new at this.. and with work and all you know how it is...
anyway here the updated version and the progress snapshot

I like it. For some reason I really like the flower, I dunno, it's almost cartoonish, but not in a simple way, just the way the colors work are very striking. Quite an interesting picture, do more stuff
