I have a little trouble crit'ing this because honestly it doesn't really look finished to me. :/ Mainly because the big bushy green leaves are on some of the branches but not all. Try thinning out some areas on your tree, I'm no botonist but most of the trees I see get skinnier on the way up
As for what kind of pictures I like... hmm, well first off I'm female. I'm not too picky about subject matter I guess, but I care more for realism than anything else. I just feel it takes tons of talent to make something look so real I could touch it, whereas I feel like a 3 year old could slap paint all over a canvas and call it art. So as long as several basic elements are well executed (things like form, balance, color, perspective) I will like just about anything, because I can appreciate the hard work that went into it.
Somehow I feel that's not what you meant though =)
Subject-wise I really like sci-fi and fantasy images, fantasy more than sci-fi though. I really like mech paintings, because it's something I can and never will be able to do. I love non-boring landscapes. Things painted with unique brush strokes and colors rather than typical bob ross mountains. I like mysterious looking images, surreal images and figure painting. I love oil painting in general. I love things that I can look at and they tell a story (isric's work), or I can make up a story about it I like images with vivid personalities (flushgarden's robot holding an apple or spooge's elektra) and unique environments (ceenda's floating islands or loki's blimp-things ) I love really good crisp line art (flexible elf), marker concepts (feng) and I love good action scenes (leo's work). I also really love beautiful women painted in a non-sleazy manner, women painted strong and sexy without rediculous proportions and clothes (merekat's savannah and agent44 girls)
I'm pretty open to anything, I've probably missed tons of stuff and I've definitely rambled way too long here!
Hope this helps
Beth
