I know by the incredible quality of werk here this probably belongs in the unfinished forum (or more likely the "spare toilet paper" forum if you got one) but it's done and I'm not coming back to it, so here it is.
(It's a result of the amount of times I've watched the Linkin Park live on Conan O'brien MPG. Rock out, ShockVideoz.)
40 mins.

I feel as though I can hear some sort of distant faint lonely melancholy rock music playing in my ears by lookin at it. |

Jesus, I was totally expecting to get torn apart.. you guys rock *G*
Glad you guys dig the feel of it, I've some pretty limited experience when it comes to more expressive, darker work.. Trying to put meaning into a piece and then failing can be painful, yes? So far I've opted to simply screw up my perspective, or get stomped for not using reference on machine guns
Heya Seraph - I only really post in here when I have a "painty" piece to show.. and to feel humbled by some of the incredible artists that moon about the place..

BTW, bom, I love this.
The lighting is better then what I can do.
The light is very stepped. You can adjust that by editing the brush. You should be able to smooth it out more. And without repainting it, try using the smudge tool.

Tell you the truth, Seraphire, I actually use the hard-edged airbrush for that very reason - I like that onion-skinning effect it gives, it can give some nice skin textures and so on..
Still, I guess using a lucky by-product like that allows me to ignore a weakness in my work while it compensates. It's easy to make a dodgey, stylised piece like this look like it's well lit.. Don't want to imagine what would happen if I tried to colour it clean :\
