I dunno, i really dont feel like a FPS centered around the action (Ive read that somewhere...) is the right way to put Lovecrafts stories to game.
Daresay it will be pretty cool if they pull it off though... |

I've seen a coupla movies of it, and it looks pretty s'alright. There's a few good ideas about it too, like the phobia system. For example, if you always react to every movement, you might gain a phobia that everything's a monster. So where there could be a friendly guy who's gonna give you some health, the phobia might take over and you'll see the guy as some snarling beast and kill it, only to find out a moment later that it was actually a nice fella doing his job.
That's what I've heard anyway. Haven't read any previews on it. It's got me intrigued though... |

First of all Welcome back all. Long time no C.
I built myself a new computer so now I can play some desent games and run some desent software. I was surfing through some game sites and wondered if anyone knows anything on the new game Call of Cthulhu... based off of H.P. Lovecraft's story...
Anyways... I'll be posting some of my work from school as well. |

it's very interactive, you can lose your sanity and you can interact with environments. you are weak and will have difficulty facing foes directly. there will be investigation and puzzles. it uses netimmerse. it has real time dynamic shadows and looks pretty fucking sweet. |
