Hey all did this onetoday .. about an hour and a half start to finish ..
some stuff wrong was based off a sketch so i could not remember some of the colors and shit like that ohh well this be it ..

Good pic (better than me)

Its kind of hard to tell what this person is doing?? care to explain? it may just help.

well a few things I picked out.

1. The hair looks a little green in places.

2. Right ear? (his right) thats a big ear!!

3. Something weird is going on with the nose.

4. The left eyebrow? (his left) is hardly there compared to the other one.

5. Whats that brown green fuzz around the top of the character. I would suggest that you try to create some definition between your character and background. With different colours, detail, sharpness etc.

One last thing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like a pretty good blue sleeping bag to me! Its good and cumfy.

Ah, I don't have much to crit on it, all the basics are pretty much there, just needs to be refined more I guess..

Hiya proximo.

I pic has a nice feel to it but it seems that the light is coming from the 'viewer' directly to the subject. Kinda like we're sitting next to him shining a torch at him (which is fine). However, I think this might take away some of the dimension, making the pic seem a bit 2D (like DOH! the monitor screen is 2D, but I guess you know what I mean ).

Try and set up a scene for a quick portrait with as dynamic a lighting setup as you like and try doing some variations (even on the same subject).
