Hi all,
I'm back after a long, long time of not posting here (or anywhere really). Life did one of those "kick you while you're down" bits to me. Anyway I figured since I'm trying to get back to doing things I enjoy before my birthday (which is tomorrow) I should get back to posting here since I used to like the feedback I got. Here are two images I'm currently working on, I've been trying to expand my CG style away from the smudge tool stuff I used to do. What do you think? (keep in mind I'm nowhere near done)
I'm mostly trying to get a new style with my lighting and shading. Something like Julie's stuff at http://jdillon.net/ If anyone has any advice about how to do this please reply or e-mail me. I'm pretty good with photoshop, but I'm pretty clueless with painter (help!)
Thanks!! |

The rendering is nice on both of them, but the first thing i noticed was the face on the top image...to put it bluntly it looks like shes been ran over by a steam roller.
follow the curviture of the jaw to creat a more rounded face.
thats the only problem with this wonderful picture |

Yeah I agree, the face In the first, you might also wanna take a look at that hand of hers.
Actually, I feel that the face on the second one dosn't work that well either. Seems strangely attached to the neck, and maybe its a bit out of proporsion???
Otherwise great stuff dude |
