my girlfriend was taking a nap so i decided to paint a picture of her... then she moved before i could finish, so here it is, as is... i may work on it more, i may not... the image is at about 30% of it's original size of 2048x1024...



crits are more than welcome!

lemme point out my own crits first, though:

1. the head's a little big... (come to think of it, the head also looks more like a guy's head... o_O)

2. the color choices are absolutely awful... so desaturated... and that's after going through about 3 different repaints... :-/

3. when she moved, i lost the reference for the light and shadows on her breasts, so i realize it looks like her right breast is practically hanging out of the dress... o_O

4. the dress has no shading or crinkles yet

5. neither does the hair

6. her left leg looks kinda funky

so, fire away!

ps. had a quick question, actually... concerning number 2, about color, does anyone have any tips with regards to how they pick color... i always pick a color that seems relatively saturated and looks "right", at the time, but once i look back at it it looks dull and awful...

pps. i used some of mr t.'s custom brushes in this pic (you rock!), with pressure set to size only...

I don't think you have enough pink's in your skin color... and about the dress and hair, I'm sure you can make something up.
