i am no expert. that said, there seems to be a few anatomy problems. especially around the head, hand, and thigh area. the head is too big for the body or the legs are too small for the body, either of the given. try thinking in either 7 1/2 heads to 9 heads...i'd us 8-9 here since ol' spidey is a heroic type. the lighting is too early to comment on, and i'd probably do a horrid job critting that area anyway.
i hope something i said made sense in the slightest. hmmm...too tired to paintover and illustrate my above crit, so later maybe.
sleep now.

There's an episode of Seinfeld where George starts fearing that he's gay, after some slight movement in the lower areas while being massaged by a guy. Later he gets bruised while chasing some kids that called him a "fairy"(I think) after he jumped over a puddle in a certain way.
When telling about it, he illustrates how he jumped.
Well... you've nailed it.
Too bad it's supposed to be Spider-Man and not Fairy-George.
Sorry.
Other than that, you've got some shading problems, and some anatomical problems. He also looks too chubby to be our favourite web-slinger(Perhaps that's why it made me think of George).
But, the main thing you should be focusing on is the pose, which doesn't work. |

I think the pose looks way too flat and 2d for the likes of Spiderman. Be a little more daring and try experimenting with more fore-shortened poses. Try pulling Spiderman out of the picture. |
