I can't seem to figure out the lighting in this one. Nor, apprently, can I figure out how to give her a nice lady like hand... instead of the Gollum hand I've given her here. Yikes!
Any assistance would be mucho muchest appreciated.

You have a great start. Ask yourself in what direction is the light coming from? Think of the 4 types of edges. These edges will help you define and bring out the form. It looks like you have a strong front and slightly to the right light source. This would create sharp edged cast shadows. The cast shadow will explain the surface of her form. I hope this helps.

Nice colors, silver skin and red hair look pretty cool.
The index finger looks quite natural, but you might want to add some more flesh to the other fingers and try making them so that the fingers start thick and grow thinner towards the tips. Try adding some roundness to the palm. Try using your own hand as a reference. Good luck! |
