This is looking better to me than your previous work . . . things to consider:

- atmosphere - right now, this guy exists in a void . . . its night time, and there seems to be some kind of fire nearby, so I would expect the forest to recede into mist or smoke, or at least have some ground-level haze.

- pose - think about bending the leg on the right at the knee . . . locked legs convey stiffness and imbalance.

- intensity - A light bright enough to cause a lens flare should probably be white at its center. If you converted the image to grayscale, that green would just be a medium gray, not a value you'd expect to cast much light.

- hair - avoid stringy hair and grass . . . block in their 3D volumes first, and then add finer detail where needed.

Otherwise a good start, and I like the character's expression. Makes me want to play some Last Blade 2.

This is nice Lunatique. I like where you are taken this. I have a idea (only), perhaps you could spice this up by making his legs in a running pose. You know what I am talking about, like where the two sword fighters are in battle and they start running towards each other in that death stare as they remove their swords in a certain fasion. I don't know, maybe you could play with some movement effects too...
Just an idea

I tell you, the kid's on drugs.

Thanks for the C&C's. Very helpful. I'll incorporate them into the finished piece

This is FAR from being finished, and I would like some C&C before I take it further. Feel free to overpaint. The general colors are there, but I think I'll make the flesh less red. Of course the rendering is just roughed in, so no details yet.

That's a very good start. I made an overpaint to illustrate some ideas.. I moved the eyes a down little, so he looks sad and is about to raise his sight and say something like "look what you have done, I'm gonna kill you now!" with using his eyes only, while the other guy is shitting his pants.. ok, enough bullshit here's the overpaint:

Holy crap! Very nice!

Looks like I have lots of thinking to do. I really wanted to do a reddish/fire color scheme, but I love the darker look too. Thanks!

Decisions, decisions.
