Hey, let me get some tips from you people on what I can improve on here. I just started this digital painting a few weeks ago...so I know it shows and this picture is not fully finished so no need to comment on that,

this was created 100% in painter 6. I've been trying to draw and paint from scratch in painter. I am working another and I'll post it sometime soon to get advice.

| The texture of the flesh could use some more work. I would suggest smoothing it out some more - the dark greeen lines for example. |

| Boy I didn't even know that this is where my WIP belongs. Somebody is quick to take note and adjust. Anywayz, also, I could have done a bot better on this one if I had used referenced. I know I have a hulk mag around here somewhere but didn't want to dig. So, maybe if I had used some lighting reference it could have panned out a bit better. |

| one other thing is that I noticed that the mouth and nose aren't lined up. I need to either straighten out the mouth or slant the nose a bit more and work on the lighting on the nose a bit to make the (his) left nostril stand out to be equal with the right. |

Try playing more with color variation in Hulk's skin. You can use more colors than just the green color you've got going and it will still look good... probably even better. At least try more variation in the greens you do have... they all have that greyish, desaturated feel to them. I think some better shadow definition, especially under the nose and chin, and perhaps in the eye socket, would help.
Also the ear looks stuck on. It doesn't look like it belongs on his face.
A nice start though. Have fun finishing it up! |
