I think they rate you by your drawing style and give points as they see fit. Just look at me, I don't even have any ratings so I must reeeeally suck! *lol* -_-'

That's one scary looking face... It looks like one of them flying heads that'll come and bite your head off *shudder*

I like the "hints of what is to come" shading lines.. Try making a bit of texture into her skin with those Try making her eyebrows and hair a bit more natural... Scruffy but natural (photo reference)
I don't know if I should comment on the colouring more because the picture isn't ready yet, but highlight her nose more to make it stand out --> no flatness.
